Children's Therapy

Growing up isn’t always easy, and kids can face big emotions and challenges that are hard to navigate on their own. At Hope Mountain Behavioral Health, we provide compassionate, child-focused therapy for children ages 6 and up, creating a safe space where they can feel understood and supported.

Whether your child is struggling with anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, trauma, grief, bullying, or school-related stress, we’re here to help. Our therapists use evidence-based approaches like trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) to address emotional and behavioral concerns, as well as expressive therapies like art and games to help children process their feelings in ways that feel natural and engaging to them.

We also partner with parents, providing tools and guidance to support your child’s growth and healing at home. Together, we’ll create a plan to help your child thrive.

Anxiety & Depression

At Hope Mountain Behavioral Health, we understand that depression and anxiety can feel overwhelming and isolating, but you don’t have to face these challenges alone. These are some of the most common concerns we support, and every therapist on our team is highly skilled in helping individuals work through them with care and compassion.

What is Anxiety?
Anxiety often manifests as persistent worry, fear, or a sense of dread that can interfere with daily life. It might show up as racing thoughts, physical symptoms like restlessness or a rapid heartbeat, or even avoidance of situations that feel overwhelming. Anxiety can make it hard to focus, connect with others, or find peace of mind.

What is Depression?
Depression can feel like a heavy weight, draining your energy, motivation, and joy. It might appear as sadness, hopelessness, or even irritability. Some people lose interest in the things they once loved, struggle with sleep or appetite changes, or feel stuck in a cycle of emptiness and fatigue.

Why Choose Us?
At Hope Mountain, we know how deeply anxiety and depression can impact your life. Our therapists create a safe, supportive space where you can explore your experiences, uncover the root causes of your struggles, and work toward meaningful change. We use evidence-based approaches tailored to your unique needs, helping you build tools to manage symptoms and regain a sense of control and hope.

If you’re ready to take the first step toward healing, we’re here to walk with you every step of the way.

Trauma Therapy

Trauma can leave lasting effects on your mind, body, and relationships, but with the right support, healing is possible. At Hope Mountain Behavioral Health, we provide trauma therapy for individuals dealing with PTSD, complex PTSD, and acute PTSD.

What is Trauma?
Trauma can result from a single event, like an accident or loss, or from ongoing abuse or neglect. It often leads to symptoms such as flashbacks, emotional numbness, difficulty trusting others, or heightened anxiety.

PTSD, Complex PTSD, and Acute PTSD

  • PTSD follows a traumatic event and may involve intrusive memories, avoidance, and distress.

  • Complex PTSD typically develops from prolonged trauma and can lead to issues with emotional regulation, self-worth, and relationships.

  • Acute PTSD involves short-term symptoms following a traumatic event, with the potential for improvement through timely treatment.

How We Can Help
We specialize in trauma-informed care, using a variety of approaches including trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), attachment-based therapy, and mindfulness techniques. Together, we’ll work to process your experiences, reduce symptoms, and help you reclaim control over your life.

Grief Therapy

Grief touches every part of life and often shows up in ways that feel unexpected or overwhelming. At Hope Mountain Behavioral Health, we understand that grief isn’t just about losing a loved one—it can stem from any significant change or loss, like a job, a home, a friendship, a relationship, or even a way of life. Grief is deeply personal, and it can take many forms: sadness, anger, numbness, confusion, or even physical pain.

Our therapists are here to support you as you navigate your unique grief journey. Through individual therapy, we provide a compassionate space to explore your feelings, understand the impact of your loss, and find ways to move forward at your own pace.

We also recognize that grief can arise in less obvious ways. Letting go of harmful behaviors, such as substance use or negative patterns, often involves mourning the sense of comfort or security those behaviors once provided. Whatever form your grief takes, we’re here to help you process it and uncover the resilience within you.

You don’t have to face grief alone. At Hope Mountain, we’re honored to walk alongside you, offering the tools and support you need to heal and grow. Take the first step toward relief and renewal today.

Substance Use

For many, substance use can be a way to cope with pain, overwhelm, or distress. While it might provide temporary relief, it can often deepen the challenges it’s meant to soothe. At Hope Mountain Behavioral Health, we understand that substance use is often tied to deeper struggles like trauma, anxiety, or depression, and we’re here to help you explore those connections in a compassionate, nonjudgmental space.

We don’t provide inpatient services, but we work with individuals who want to better understand their substance use and the role it plays in their lives. Our therapists help you uncover underlying issues, build healthier coping strategies, and move toward a life of greater balance and well-being.

If more intensive treatment is needed, we’re happy to connect you with trusted detox or inpatient programs. For immediate assistance, you can also reach out to SAMHSA’s National Helpline at 1-800-662-HELP, which offers referrals to local treatment centers and resources.

You don’t have to face this journey alone. Let’s work together to help you rediscover hope and healing.
